You help. You remember. You check. You fix. You listen. And when somebody finally asks, “Do you need anything?” — you say “No, I’m fine” before you’ve even really thought about the answer.
Somewhere underneath that, you may have quietly wished someone would notice, without you having to ask.
You do not have to earn care by being useful. Receiving does not make you weak, needy, or a burden. Sometimes a blessing may arrive through another person’s hands — an offer, a favor, or somebody simply making your load a little lighter.
You are allowed to receive without immediately finding a way to pay it back.
The next time someone offers, notice what it feels like to actually say yes.
